SESSIONS & SPEAKERS

MEET YOUR MC: BOBBI BRINKMAN bobbibrinkman.com Storytelling destination wedding photographer and motivational speaker Bobbi Brinkman motivates wedding professionals to bet on themselves so they can build a wedding-industry career they love & their clients love more. Whether it’s captivating audiences on a stage or 1:1 Coaching Fabbo-Chats, Bobbi's "you can do this" approach helps wedding pros serve with intention and build a CEO mindset.

Her mantra in business and in life is to BE FABBO, which means to be yourself, lead with kindness and know that what you do matters She believes every wedding pro has what it takes to make an impact in our industry by being their FABBO self. When she’s not coaching wedding pros or documenting weddings across the country, Bobbi enjoys spending time with her wife Tina, their Sassy Shorkiepoo Ellie Joy, and of course with a Diet Mountain Dew in hand.

LGBTWHO?: Understanding Your LGBTQIA+ Clients, Co-Workers and Colleagues

It seems every time you turn around, there’s a new letter being added to the list. Just when you were settling into same-sex weddings, there are new terms, pronouns and etiquette “coming out”. But a little compassion and effort to see things from another’s perspective can go a long way. In this seminar, we’ll breakdown why there are so many new identities emerging, what they mean and why you should care.

ABOUT JORDAN: In the events industry, Jordan Heller is a jack of all trades but a master of.... one. Networking. After a failed catering company and a podcast that was sadly ahead of its time, Jordan moved into venue sales and event planning at The Ringling Museum of Art. He sold half-million-dollar weddings and worked with a team to plan large public events an intimate member dinners.

Jordan began privately producing over-the-top networking events for the local wedding and event industry twice a year. As their popularity grew, he was able to turn these events into a full-time membership association called Suncoast Wedding & Event Leaders (SWEL). Jordan continues to produce monthly events for SWEL while growing his membership during a pandemic. His favorite fail was once being fired from a job and, because of networking, had 3 new job offers by the end of the same day.

STRONGER BRIDGES & BIGGER TABLES

Inclusion is not a one-and-done activity. Diversity is more than just boxes to check off. Moving past the black squares and hashtags, it is the responsibility of all the industry's members to move it forward and make it stronger. In this dynamic session, we won't be talking AT each other, but learning what this industry looks like from the vendor and client perspective, with actionable steps to strengthen individual brands and our industry as a whole.
