As we approach giving Tuesday on November 30, 2021 please consider a donation to Project Pride SRQ. Help us continue shining a spotlight of visibility on LGBTQ+ Sarasota.
In the past year we have had the most visible June Pride in Sarasota’s history, developed the Car Pride Parade down Main St., Pride Pet Parade, rainbow banners have lined the city street posts, lit Sarasota in rainbow colors, distributed rainbow posters in LGBTQ+ friendly businesses, marched the massive 350 foot inclusive rainbow “Grand Flag” across the Ringling Bridge, worked with city government to declare the First June Pride Month Proclamation in Sarasota’s history. Perhaps the crowning achievement is the five sided inclusive rainbow “Pride Walk” installed on Cocoanut Ave and 2nd St in Downtown Sarasota.
Our community outreach events have been numerous and meaningful including; food drives, baby supply drives, homeless holiday drives, and more, all to help spotlight the LGBTQ+ residents as a caring giving community of Sarasota.
